My journey began as an undergraduate student at Syracuse University in a course on Far Eastern Religions taught by Dr. Huston Smith in 1970. Inspired by the art and philosophy of the East, I continued my academic studies. Then in 1973, I began my practice. I honor the many teachers who have inspired me...Yogi Shri Khanna, Swami Satchidananda, Baba Muktananda, Dr. Joan Borysenko, Carol Nelson, Daeja Napier, Yogacharya Viswananth and with great respect to Mr. B.K.S. Iyengar. I most humbly honor Manju Pattabhi Jois. And I am blessed by my greatest teachers of all, my sons Sasha and Peter.
