The Story behind the new YogaEast T-Shirts

The graphic image on the T-shirts represents Chenrezig, the Bodhisattva of Compassion. The original drawing was given to my first born son, Sasha, when he was born.   It is offering us the great teachings of Abhaya Mudra which means "fear not, you are protected."

In 1996, Ani Tenzin Palmo, considered the greatest female Buddhist teacher in the world, came to visit our Center and my home.When she saw the Tanka drawing of Chenrezig (which was created on handmade paper), she excitedly said: "This was made by my Lama who was a treasured artist in the creation of Tankas."

Imagine how that came to be in our home from the other side of our world! I hope very much that you enjoy wearing these garments and even share their fuller meaning with others.
